With the ongoing evolution of both native & cloud-based platforms and technologies (and so many to choose from) Integration development has stepped into the lime light over the past few years.
Now don’t get us wrong – Integration development is not new, it is just gaining popularity. Much in the same way that “User driven design” from the 90’s put on a new dress, bought some make-up and demanded people in skinny jeans call it “UX” during the rise of Flat Design in 2013.
Remember way back in the day when you were told that certain systems can’t “speak” to one another? Well, Integration development has taken an eraser to that statement.
You see, with integration development software companies can now create “the middle man” (sorry, Outsurance) which is called an API in the techie world.
The API – or “application programming interface” – is a technology or language that can speak with most systems and, much like an interpreter, translates the data of each system for the other. Some are old, some are new.
“Integration development” is a broad-term for development with a number of technologies & languages that have high system compatibility. The newest player on the field is AngularJS and – not to start dropping names – but we are proud to have become quite good friends with a variety of it’s family members.
At Matogen, we have a range of available API options and would love to showcase them to you.
Over the past 11 years we have had the privilege to gain great volumes of experience in the most popular technologies, as well as use our skills on very large corporate companies and parastatal organizations.
We know that integration development is an ever-changing landscape and are committed to continued skills development in this area as one of our specialist areas.
